Abstract	Este artículo presenta resultados de una investigación en curso. El estudio se propone avanzar en la comprensión de las dinámicas institucionales de escuelas que atienden poblaciones vulnerables1 y logran resultados en términos de aprendizajes. Nuestro interés se concentra, en describir y comprender estas dinámicas con especial referencia a los procesos de crisis y recuperación institucional, las rupturas, los puentes, las continuidades y las respuestas que se tejen en un espacio institucional, que atiende a población que habita los enclaves de la pobreza, y donde la educación es posible. El trabajo tendrá por objeto describir de qué modo la significación y representaciones que adquiere el objeto de trabajo en la cultura escolar se vincula con la modalidad de llevar adelante la tarea primaria y el funcionamiento institucional. Como así también desarrollar una serie de hipótesis vinculadas con los rasgos de la organización y su funcionamiento que parecen vinculados con el aprendizaje de los alumnos. El abordaje histórico y situacional de un estudio que abarcó más de veinte años, en un establecimiento con casi 70 años de historia, nos permitirá también establecer relaciones de interés entre los diferentes momentos socio históricos del país, las políticas educativas implementadas y su impacto en el funcionamiento de la escuela desde su fundación hasta la actualidad. El caso de estudio se trata de una escuela primaria, perteneciente al Distrito Escolar del Partido de Gral. San Martín. Provincia de Buenos Aires. La metodología incorpora el enfoque institucional en el análisis y se toman aportes de la investigación cualitativa y clínica en especial. ; This article presents the results of a research which is being carried out at present. One of its aims is to further understand the institutional dynamics of schools which, although they are located in vulnerable1 neighbourhoods, manage to achieve good learning results. Our main interest is to describe and understand these dynamics, with a special focus on the processes of crisis and institutional recovery, the breaks, the bridges, the continuities and the different answers that are woven in an institution set deep in a context of poverty and where the development of education is still posible. This paper will describe how the meaning and representations of the work carried out in the school is very much connected with the primary aim of the institution and its functioning. We will also develop several hypotheses related to the features and ways of functioning of the organization, which seem to be very much linked to the way the children learn. The historical and situational approach covering twenty years of an institution which is over 70 years old, will allow us to establish connections between different socio-historical moments in Argentina , the different educational policies implemented and their impact on the functioning of the school from the moment of its foundation to the present. The case studied is a primary school located in the School District of Partido General San Martín in the Province of Buenos Aires. From the methodological point of view, an institutional approach, with contributions from a qualitative and a clinical perspective es pecially, has been adopted. This is the expression adopted by the Secretaría de Educación of the Province of Buenos Aires to refer and classify these school
